I'm embarrassed by my own question. For reasons that defy a short explanation, I, too, thought Yogi Berra was the correct answer. Sheesh!
A better question would have read: In which of Mickey Mantle's first three seasons did he lead the Yankees in home runs? The answer would have been 'none.' Yogi out-homered him in 1951, 1952 and 1953.
The correct answer is two. (1954 & 1956) Seems incomprehensible that he only drove in 100+ RBIs a total of four times during such a stellar career. Quite an anomaly. The other 2 years were 1961 & 1964.
By comparison, a middling to good player named Del Ennis did it seven times over a 14 year career. Hank Aaron did it seven times over the first 10 years. Ted Williams accomplished it nine times in his first 10 seasons.
Next question. Other than Maris or Mantle, who is the only other player to hit more than 50 home runs in a season during the 1960's?

Okay. Here's a REAL Mickey Mantle question. In his first ten seasons with the Yankees, how many times did he drive in 100 runs or more?
Muscles reached 100 RBIs 3 times in his first 10 seasons.
